As a copywriter, I’ve developed digital messaging and UI copy for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Canon, Franklin Barbecue, Stripe, SuperBooked, Grovo, Deeds Not Words, and other organizations needing clarity, consistency, and a strategy for their story. I developed all product copy for Rdio’s mobile, desktop, and partner apps, closely collaborating with designers, engineers, and the analytics team to develop features and boost user engagement. Doubling as a marketing writer, I wrote rdio.com website copy, marketing and onboarding emails, blog posts, press releases, and in-product audio ads. I also developed the company’s marketing and product style guide and presented my work at a weekly copy review.

I wrote and edited copy for up to 20 deals each day across four verticals while managing the daily production of seven freelance writers. Working within an intense daily production process, I collaborated with sales reps and photo editors to produce finished products that adhered to both LivingSocial’s style guide and merchants’ feedback and goals. I was a consistent KPI top finisher across the nationwide editorial team.

In California, I joined an educational software company to develop copy for online, print, online, email, and social media campaigns. My web work was twofold: I managed the company’s official website, working within the CMS to improve the content and user experience; and managed the company’s blog, developing an editorial calendar and coaching subject matter experts in best practices. I also managed marketing campaigns, collaborating with designers to align visual components with copy.

As visitphilly.com’s editor and go-to writer, I managed and edited all written and visual content on visitphilly.com and its various microsites; managed the production of several content contributors; and made ongoing improvements to the user experience. Other things I wrote: ad copy for online campaigns; the monthly eNewsletter; daily restaurant, event, sports, etc. blog posts; and the occasional press release. I was hired as a copy editor and promoted to associate editor a year later.
